T O P I C R E V I E WSunAscendantI read somewhere that a transit will likely manifest as a real-life event if you have that transit aspect natally. For example, tomorrow the transit Sun will sextile my natal Jupiter and in my own natal chart I have Sun trine Jupiter in a very tight 2 degree trine so I could expect something related to that aspect to occur because I have a similar aspect in my chart. Is that how it works? I wonder if that's how it works because when supposedly important transits have hit my chart recently and nothing has happened I've wondered if it could possibly be because I don't have that aspect in my chart. Like when transit Jupiter trined my MC nothing happened and so I wondered if it was because I don't have natal Jupiter in any aspect to my natal MC.Dumuzitransits do work better with outer planets if theyre already prominent in your chartyou arent going to necessarily feel something thats more generational on a deeply personal level if it didnt already affect youfor me it doesnt make a difference, i have saturn squaring my sun neptune trines my sun (part of a minor trine with pluto, i also have sun sextile pluto and in placidus pluto is 1st house) jupiter is part of a t-square with uranus and chiron (chiron is prominent in my chart) and uranus is part of a kite thats attached to my ascendant/descendant axis by the moon with venus so i feel all of that because it's all prominent, but someone with less personal aspects will feel it in more minor ways the same way those planets are still in effect in their chart when theyre born but might only shape the houses theyre inLerenaIn my experience, there isn't exactly a rule that says you need an aspect in your natal chart for a transit to manifest. However, if you have a transit between two planets that aspect each other in your natal chart, that transit would probably be most easily felt if it's between an outer planet and a personal planet or at least if the transit is from Saturn.RandallBump!RandallBump!ithinkimightbewrongi'm starting to work with transits lately and i've gone back to some key points in my life and it most of the time it seems that a generational planet conjucnts another planet or enters a a new house...often there are things supporting it, but not always...
you arent going to necessarily feel something thats more generational on a deeply personal level if it didnt already affect you
for me it doesnt make a difference, i have saturn squaring my sun neptune trines my sun (part of a minor trine with pluto, i also have sun sextile pluto and in placidus pluto is 1st house) jupiter is part of a t-square with uranus and chiron (chiron is prominent in my chart) and uranus is part of a kite thats attached to my ascendant/descendant axis by the moon with venus
so i feel all of that because it's all prominent, but someone with less personal aspects will feel it in more minor ways the same way those planets are still in effect in their chart when theyre born but might only shape the houses theyre in
often there are things supporting it, but not always...
